Product Overview

Zheng Bang’s PSA-100 Free Radical Scavenger is a high-purity compound of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol, which is widely used as an inhibitor in the polymerization of styrene, butadiene and other monomers. It can also act as an antioxidant in polymers and oils, and a stabilizer in various organic compounds. As an inhibitor, PSA-100 traps free radicals that could lead to chain termination and crosslinking during polymerization. This results in a more controlled and efficient polymerization process with improved molecular weight distribution and reduced gel formation.

Key Features

When it acts as an antioxidant, our Free Radical Scavenger neutralizes and traps free radicals that initiate oxidation reactions. This helps to prevent or slow down the degradation of polymers and fats, extending their shelf life and enhancing their stability. For polymers, this product maintains the integrity and functionality of the material, especially when exposed to heat, light and other environmental factors that trigger oxidation.
As a stabilizer, the Zheng Bang Free Radical Scavenger enhances the stability and performance of a substance, particularly when it is exposed to adverse conditions or chemical reactions. It protects organic compounds by protecting them from degradation caused by oxidative processes, and preserves the properties to ensure the longevity of various organic materials including coatings, adhesives and plastics.
